New Layout

I know that I just put up a new layout just over a week ago, but it was bothering me. The space at the top, and the colours and just everything about it since I made this layout last week. I liked the new layout (this one) so much that it made me hate the other one. So now I’m just not going to try to make another new layout so I can enjoy how much I love this one. I drew it myself in Flash, and considering the fact that I can not draw to save my life, I really like how it turned out. It’s supposed to be based on David’s truck, although his is white, not blue.. I just think the blue worked better
What I will do sometime this week, is make MORE new textures. I made 6 last night, and it was my first time really making them. They kind of suck, and I liked them a lot better last night, but I guess it’s better than nothing. I had made one that I LOVED, but then I was stupid and I accidentally closed it without saving. I was SO MAD.
So, David is my all time favourite person tonight. I mean, he is a lot of the time anyways, but today just reminded me how much I love him. You know those big, taller-than-you-are, cardboard cutouts of Jacob, Edward & Bella that are all over the place to advertise the DVD coming out? Yeah, I have one in my kitchen now
Until I clean a spot in my room for it. I share a room with my sister, and she agrees that it has to come in here. My other sister was scared.. my mom just doesn’t want it in her kitchen
It’s giant. And I love it. It was at Indigo (book store) and since the DVD already came out, I wanted the cut out
My plan yesterday was to just steal it, but we went back today and David asked the people if he could have it ‘for his little sister’, and they said sure. So as we left, we picked it up (it was right in between the two sets of doors to walk in) and put it in his vehicle. The guy beside us looked a little confused
So, I’m supposed to be going to see Hedley in two weeks. My friend was supposed to buy the tickets, but she never got around to it and now the seats are crappy. I still want to go, because it’s Hedley with Boys Like Girls (both which are two of my favourite bands everrr) + Fefe Dobson & Stereos. I wanna go sooooo badly, but now I’m afraid my friends will back out, because it’ll be $54 tickets for bad seats. I’ll be rather bummed, because my friend should have just bought the tickets earlier when we planned it all :/
Today and yesterday at work were pretty much the same. It was kinda boring because it was dead, but for the most part I was working with people who I get along with and can talk to, so I had something to do other than sit there and be bored. There’s a tournament next weekend so it will be super busy, but then after the one last tournament in a few weeks, there will be barely any work. I really need to find a new job, which I was supposed to do over the break but I never did :/ I’m just glad that minimum wage is going up to $10.25, so that no matter where I start to work the pay won’t be sucky. I’d rather find a job that isn’t with food, but I guess I’ll take whatever. I’ll probably apply to the Superstore (grocery store) as a cashier because my friend works there and got me a referral form, so that if I get hired, she earns money for it. I should probably find a job BEFORE the summer though, or else everyone else will be looking for a job too.
Yesterday after work, I was hanging out with David and we were just randomly driving around. We came to this random curvy road, and there was a bunch of chickens on the side of it. We laughed, then drove a bit, and eventually had to turn back so that we would go back towards town. When we got back to the place the chickens were, they all started to cross the road. I was so amused at the fact that I was watching chickens cross the road, because I really was wondering WHY they were crossing the road, and why they were there at all
I had my camera so I took some pictures, but I haven’t uploaded them yet so I’ll do that later. It’s kinda funny though, because right before I left I threw my camera in my bag because I thought to myself how David and I always end up seeing weird things, so I should bring it just incase. I guess it’s a good thing I did
I went to the movies after work today to see The Bounty Hunter. David picked the movie and I didn’t really want to see it, but it was alright I guess. Either way, I got to watch Gerard Butler *drools* LOVE HIMMMMMMMMMM.
I feel like I had more to blog about, but it’s all slipping my mind right now. 11:11, make a wish. *wishes*
I should probably sleep now. It’s back to school for me tomorrow, and I reaaaaaally don’t want to go :( Maybe my mom will just forget to wake me up
Ooh, how wonderful that would be.

PATH

I’m so tired. I don’t know how I’m managing to type this, but if I don’t then I won’t make a post until Monday night, because that’s probably the next time I’ll have time to sit and be on the computer.
Yesterday, my sister and I went shopping. My sister Morgan goes to college and there is a big mall five minutes away, so since I’m off school and Mallory (my oldest sister) is out of school and didn’t work, we went shopping. We were there from 11am to 5pm, so it was a pretty long day of walking around and shopping. I did get some new clothes though. 2 pairs of shorts (they were buy one, get one half off
), and a shirt and cardigan, which were also a part of the buy one, get one half off so I got the shirt for like $5. Here’s some pictures of the stuff I bought:

I bought some new underwear too, but I don’t think you want pictures of that
They’re cute though, they’re coloured leopard
Today, David, our friend Jeff & I all took the GO Train to downtown Toronto to walk the underground PATH. I never really knew it existed until a few weeks ago when David brought it up, and neither of us worked so we decided to go, and we asked Jeff to come with us (and other people, but others were busy so). We left at around 7:40 to catch the 7:53 train (which we missed, by like a minute.. so we had to take the train at 8:08.. which was the last train of the morning) and I didn’t get home until about 8:30. It was so tiring as it’s over 27km (16 miles) of path, and we walked A LOT of it.. from one end to the other, and then back. And we also detoured into some of the really tall buildings, and just kept riding the elevators. There was one place that was a really fancy, private hotel and we found stairs (with really cool carpet) and when we got to the top, the guy told us we weren’t allowed to be there. Meanie face.
At one place, we ended up on the top floor which was apparently ‘a gentleman’s club’, and the guy told us not to go back because we’d see things we didn’t want to see o.O We just pretended we got off on the wrong floor. There was a Karate tournament in the ballroom of the same building, and the girl who placed third in all of Canada was getting a picture taken with a group of her friends, and we all happened to be standing right behind them, so we made faces at the camera
I think it’d be so cool to find that picture on facebook or something somewhere, but I doubt that would ever be possible. If you ever come across it though, send it my way
At the same place, we found a random SKETCHY stair way, and it just kept going up and up until the stair way stopped, but continued above at a place that we couldn’t get to? The stairs we were on stopped, and you could either go out the door or there was a railing on the other side, and the stairs went up on the right.. but there was no connector. I know it’s kind of confusing, so here is a picture. We choose to go out the door, which led to the outside, and people on the street just looked at us, because you can’t get in the door from outside, only out from inside. It was random
It was fun just touring around. We had Bourbon St. Grill for dinner, and it was actually really good. I was soooooo full. After dinner, we made our way back to the GO Station to get on the train and buy tickets before it left. We could NOT figure out how to get tickets though.. there was no station for it, and all the automatic machines only took credit cards, but we were using cash. We ended up not buying tickets, and just going on.. and we didn’t get caught
The one other time I had been on the train they never checked tickets, and they didn’t in the morning either, so we figured we wouldn’t get caught. And we didn’t
The train was SO packed though, so we had to sit on the stairs and then we gradually found three seats that were empty once the train made stops and what not.
The day was really fun though, even if it was really tiring. Apparently Jeff gets into a lot of places for free (Hockey Hall of Fame, Art Gallery of Ontario, etc) because his work is affiliated with them, and he said that he’d take us there sometime in the summer. Here’s some pictures from through out the day, although I’ll only post links for some because they’re from facebook and not photobucket, so there’s no thumbnails.
The Sketchy Door
Random Outside Garden
Cool mail box
Cool Chandelier.. that was fake

I should probably go to bed soon. I work tomorrow from 10-2, and then the same shift sunday. I wasn’t supposed to work tomorrow, but someone needed their shift covered, and I need money so I said sure. I probably wont end up going to bed though, I might add the icons that I made the other day instead
EDiTT// I did end up adding the icons *smacks self for not sleeping* 20 Ellen Pompeo icons

It's Sooooo Nice Outside…

It was actually 18C here today. That’s almost summer weather, and I’m soooooo glad the cold is finally leaving. It’s supposed to be staying in the double digits (mainly between 12-15C) for all of this week, which is really nice for my week off school.
David and I went Geocaching again, which I blogged about before, and we found around 4 today. There were two more that we tried to find, but we just couldn’t. It could have been because of all the rain we had over the weekend, so I guess they may have washed away or got blown away by the strong winds. Oh well, we still had a fun day.
I got a Hello Kitty watch out of it, because when you open the geocache you’re supposed to leave a little trinket and take one out. We just kind of switch trinkets from each one, but we put in something from David’s car so that I could have the watch
It actually had the correct time and date, which surprised me considering on the weekend it was Daylight Savings, so we had to set the clocks ahead an hour. I guess someone had been to it since Saturday night and they changed it
Does anyone play Mafia Wars on facebook? I only started to play because I wanted to get the hod rod tractor for Farmville that you could only buy if you were at level 10 of Mafia Wars. By the end of the 10 levels I was rather addicted, so now I’m at level 24. It’s kind of a pointless game, but it’s rather addicting. I have millions of dollars
I went shopping with my sister yesterday, and I got a new pair of sunglasses. They’re a pair of the aviators where you can see your reflection in the outside of them, so it’s sort of like a mirror. I loveee them.. they make me feel so bad ass
I got David a pair of the same ones, because they were on sale for 2 pairs for $15 which turns out to be cheaper than buying just one pair.
When I was shopping, I was going to buy some new nose rings, just because I don’t have many that I like. There was one pack that had a cute heart one that I wanted, and a star one that was the exact same as the one I had in. I decided not to buy them, but then later when I was hanging out with David, my nose ring got ripped out and we couldn’t find it :( It was my favourite one, so I then had to rush home and put a new one in so that it didn’t close up. I’ve had it for almost 4 years so I guess it wouldn’t close up too quickly anyways, but I didn’t want to take any chances. Then today, my sunglasses fell from sitting on top of my head to my nose, and they pushed my nose ring into my nose and it started bleeding :( It wasn’t bleeding a lot, and didn’t even really hurt.. it was just rather inconvenient. I’ve never had any problems with my nose ring, so IDK why it’s deciding to act up now.
I painted my nails yesterday too. Ohhh, so interesting, I know. I really like them though because I painted them black with blue, green and pink polka dots
I used to always have fancy stuff done to my nails, but then I lost a lot of my nail polish so I haven’t in awhile. I have a few of those bottles with the really thin brushes though, so I used those to make polka dots
It turned out pretty alright, even though I messed up on a few of the nails.
I’m almost done quotetastic. I just need to finish adding the summer quotes, then quotes from a few more movies and about 7 pages of love quotes that I still have left. There are 16 pages in total, and I only added 9 when I did the love quotes because I figured I should at least have some variety if I had chosen to open before I had all the quotes up
As for the new layout, it may get changed soon. I made a new one yesterday that I absolutely LOVE, but I feel bad because I justtt put up this one. Since I love the new one so much though, I’m starting to slowly find things about this layout that I don’t like. I’ll try to leave it up for a bit though, because I feel like it’s a waste of a layout if I don’t. I guess I could always re-use it after, but eh.. Idk, I guess we’ll see.
I joined Skeletons MB in the wee hours of this morning (when I should have been sleeping), and it’s a great forum. It was just recently opened by Georgina & her friend Tiffany, so you should all join it
Make sure you say that it was Meredith who referred you
Anywho, I’m going to go and get some chocolate milk and then I guess work on quotetastic a bit more, so I shall leave you with two pictures that David and I took today. You can really see how much my bangs have grown since I got them cut.. I need another hair cut soon.

It's about time…
Posted on: March 14, 2010 at 1:12 am. 1 comment
I finally got the new layout up, although I still have to work out a few things (like the annoying space at the top that I can’t seem to figure out.. help?). I almost had it all up this morning before I went to work, but then I somehow accidentally wrote over the header.php file with the one for the old layout, so I had to fix a few things (it was basically the same, but not entirely) and by the time it was all done, I had to go to work.
Which was boring. The tournament wasn’t as busy as they planned, so I was sent home an hour early. And I found out I have a whopping ONE shift over march break, and it’s next sunday. I’m not too pleased about that, so I’ll have to find a new job hopefully this break. I kind of want to find one as soon as possible, so then I can give my two weeks notice and really screw them over for the tournaments in April because they’ll have one less worker. It’s just annoying that I get NO shifts. Everyone else has two or more shifts, that are all longer than the ONE I get. But I always get stuck with the crappy, short shifts that no one else wants.
Before I went to work though, I did manage to make and add 30 new icons. They are summer/beach icons, due to my excitement that summer is getting closer and closer.
I went to the movies tonight with 4 of my friends + David. We went to see Remember Me, only because Edward from Twilight/New Moon was in it. None of us had any idea what it was really about, but it turned out to be really good. The ending was rather unexpected (except that my friend figured out the subtle clues leading up to it, which she then ruined for us :p), but it was such a good movie. I recommend you all go see it
It’s about a guy with a slightly messed up family, and he meets a girl whose mother was murdered right in front of her ten years earlier. I’m not really sure what genre it falls under, because it’s not comedy for sure.. and it’s not quite romance. Which reminds me, I think the girl in it may be Claire from lost.. so hold on while I google this.
…
Yes, it was Claire. She looked SO MUCH like her in the movie (well, obviously.. considering it was her), but she had shorter hair and her accent was sometimes off, so I wasn’t sure. I couldn’t remember her name either, so when the credits came I thought it looked familiar (from the Lost beginning credits), but I wasn’t sure. Oh well, mystery solved.
Since I’m not going to be doing anything at all this week that I have off, I’m going to try to finish my quotetastic redo, and then maybe work on adding some more stuff to here. I’m also supposed to make a ‘logo’ for David and I tomorrow since I was looking at a logo book while with him today at the book store, and I asked him what to make a logo for.. and he said us. I may do that, depending on whether or not I actually become un-pissed off at him, because he was basically a dick to me the entire time we were at the movies. He got all mad at me for buying chocolate from the super store before we went to the movies, telling me that I was going to get fat and that then he wouldn’t date me. Uhm, really? That’s a great thing to say to your girlfriend…dumbass.
Here are some new icon examples:
