I had a picture that I wanted to include in this post for a photoblog, but my camera cord seems to have gone missing, so I can’t upload it to my computer :( I’ll find it at some point, and just add it in the next blog I guess :P
I went to Niagra Falls on Friday, as I mentioned in my last blog. I ended up buying a new summery dress that’s really cute, and I also got my prom shoes :) They have MAYBE a one inch heel, if that. I wouldn’t be able to walk in really high heels :P They’re black, and pretty simple.. I like them :D I got them at a random show outlet too, so they were pretty cheap.

We didn’t end up getting to really see the falls. We drove by + took pictures from the window, but my mom couldn’t find any place to park for less than $20, and since we didn’t plan on being there long, it would be a waste of money. Plus, my sister was being annoying and wanted to go home so she could go out with her friends. Uh, no.. I wanted to see the falls :( But we didn’t end up getting out, even though 3 out of 4 people in the car wanted to..

When I got back Friday afternoon, I went to visit my friend Fatima at work. She works at the superstore and they were having a BBQ to promote their new summer products, so we got free ice cream, burgers, juice and stuff. Fatima was a clown for the event, so she gave me a balloon and I got a picture with her.. LOL. She told all of our friends to come and visit her, but I was the only one who actually did go.

Saturday was a pretty boring day. I was planning on sleeping in, but my mom woke me up at like 8:30 and asked if I wanted to go garage sale-ing because the hospital was having a huge one around the corner for a fundrasier. We did go around town for about an hour and a half ish, but all I found was The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks for $1, so I got that :P The rest of the day was pretty boring, but I did manage to finish reading The Notebook, and I marked down some pages that had good quotes to add to Quotetastic.

I’ve actually been updating Quotetastic a bit lately, and I’ve added tons of new quotes. I’m working on a new layout for it as well, so hopefully that can be finished soon. I’ve had the site for over two years, and I feel like I’ve been neglecting it too much :( I was almost thinking about selling it, but.. I don’t think I’d be able to bring myself to do that.

Yet again, I have no shifts next week. I’m literally going to run out of money soon, especially with prom coming up. I’m glad I already have my dress and shoes, or else I’d be screwed. I’m still going to have to spend around $80 for the ticket, and find a bag/clutch too. Ugh. Plus, if I do end up getting my nails done that’ll be another $25 (or more). I’m trying to just grow my nails out, but I’m not sure how well that’s going to work because they always end up chipping off, or I’ll bite them when I get bored.

I really wish there was SOMEWHERE around here that was hiring. I need a new jobbbbb.

Today, I was on facebook and I saw one of my friend’s statuses was thanking the army troops for everything they have done. I was looking around online and came across the link for car donations for Purple Heart Veterans, which is similar but aimed specifically towards Purple Heart Veterans, which are soldiers who were wounded or killed while serving their country. You can donate cars from any of the 50 states, or if you don’t have a car to donate, you can donate money as well for the families of the Purple Heart Soldiers. These soldiers gave so much for us, even their lives in some causes. They fought for their country and for the freedom of all of us, and I think they deserve way more than anything we can give them. They are all couragous, brave soldiers who deserve much more than vehicle donations, but it is still something, and everything helps. The families of the fallen soldiers not only need our help, but they most certainly deserve it too. I wish I lived in the US so that I could donate, but instead I will try to do my part by getting the word out about this amazing foundation. So please, donate any cars that you have, whether they work or not. It will be no cost to you, and will help you save on your taxes as well. There is a simple navigation, easy to find Frequently Asked Questions and more information on how to donate your car within the site.
