Day 05 – Number of Taylor Swift concerts you’ve been to:
Zero :( I wanted to go to the one in Toronto SO badly. There were two, back to back but ALL tickets sold out within the first 20 minutes. My best friend’s mom was online, trying to get tickets but it WOULDN’T let her get any more than one at a time, and even then she couldn’t manage to get them. I wasn’t happy, but next time she’s here I’ll hopefully get some. I tried to win tickets on the radio, but that also failed. I was caller #4, not #9 :(

Day 29 – What changes do you wish to make in the next five years?
At the end of the next five years, I’ll be 23, turning 24. *I just got totally distracted for like, an hour and ended up on a really random youtube video. hm. back to blogging* Hopefully by then, I’m finished college, where I’ll go for Graphic Design. I’m thinking of taking Web Design after, which is only a one year course. Though I’m not 100% sure yet. I’ll hopefully have a job, related to graphic design & still have Lover Dearest, quotetastic & hopefully have them better than ever. I guess, over all I just want to be happy though. But I guess that’s what we all want.

I decided to be productive today. I started by going through all of my pictures (which is over 27GBs of space on my external hard drive) and picked some of my favourite ones that I’ve taken. I’m going to, at some point.. set up a sub domain to show my photography, especially for once I get my DSLR (even though that won’t be until November at least) and start my photo365 at some point. I also went through Prom pictures, so I just need to resize those and you can all FINALLY see them, even though some of you from Skeleton’s may have already seen a few because I posted some there.

After I finished that, I used my pictures from a trip to the beach a few weeks ago to make 25 Water Drop Icon Textures. Some of them (especially the darker ones) look really cool on icons So check those out if you want. Here are some examples:

Dead Flowers

Day 28 – If your life story was a book, what would it be titled? What would its chapter titles be?
I actually used to plan on writing a book about my life. It was going to be called ‘Misadventures With the Y Chromosome’, and the chapter titles were going to be something like this:
Alain: The Heartbreak
Matt: The Stalker
Jake: The Obsession
Brandon: The Will-They-Wont-They-Were-Just-Friends-Yet-Were-So-Much-More &
David: The First

I actually have bit written for it, but I probably couldn’t actually write it until I got married. It was essentially just going to be about.. well, my misadventures with the y chromosome. All the stories of my heart ache & break and relationships, crushes, etc. Basically my high school years, and how they were filled with boys. Those five boys up there. I do still want to write the book some day, so maybe when I get married and the misadventures are really over, I’ll write it. (By the way, full names would be used Channel my inner Taylor Swift and put the boys to shame)

Speaking of Taylor Swift.. Day 04 – Your favorite Taylor Swift music video:
Hm. I’m not actually sure. I like them all. I really like I’m Only Me When I’m With You because I love that is has her own video footage in it. But I also like Tim McGraw, because that’s my favourite song. And You Belong With Me, because the super sexy cowboy (Lucas Till) from the Hannah Montanna movie is in it. There’s also White Horse, but that music video almost makes me cry when I’m not in a good mood. But for my favourite, I’m gonna have to go with:

Picture to Burn. I can’t NOT love a music video where someone gets over a jackass ex by burning all his stuff. Last year for Com Tech, my friend and i did a remake of this video. Twas fun, though everything but the ending (where we set pictures on fire and walked away from it, in cowboy boots) sucked.

Lately, I’ve been a little obsessed with Miranda Lambert. I’ve liked her for years, thanks to her amazing song Kersone (I’m giving up on love, ’cause love’s given up on me) but I recently downloaded all of her albums and I’ve just been listening to them for the past few days. They’re amazing So for those of you who like country music, DOWNLOAD HER MUSIC. Even though a lot of country music fans already know her anyways. Oh well

The changes at work are setting in. I worked yesterday, and while we were closing the new boss had people in changing the locks on the automatic doors as well as the back office door, I guess so that the old boss wouldn’t have access? Taylor is working today, and she texted me to tell me that the new boss is already changing our weekend hours. We used to be open 9-6 on Saturdays, and 9-5 on Sundays. Now it’s going to be 9-9 & 9-7. For our schedules, if we have a closing shift it says: 12- , with no set time in case we have to stay later for certain reasons. Guess who had a 12- shift, which would USUALLY be until 6, but is now until 9? Yup.. there goes my saturday. A whole nine hours of working. At least I get two fifteen minute breaks, as well as a half hour lunch. This is the longest shift I’ve ever worked though, so hopefully I won’t die. Whatever though, at least it’s nice money that can be put towards the camera I’m going to buy.

Yup, I decided I’ll go for a camera instead of a laptop because I want a DSLR camera BADLY. I think I’ve decided on the Nikon D3100, which is a new camera coming out (or was just released? I’m not sure). I was in the camera store the other day, and she said it should be coming out by November for pre christmas sales, and since my birthday is in November I can get it around that time As long as I save up enough money, which hopefully I will (though I can just put my birthday money towards it).

My day today wasn’t too much better than yesterday, due to co-op. So far it’s been alright, but today when I got there, I was looking through the box of ads that need to be done because that’s what I’ve been doing since I started. But when one of the other girls came in, the first thing she said was ‘Oh, I wouldn’t touch those’ or something like that.. uhm, what? So she told me to just do the changes on the ads for next tuesday, meaning fix spelling errors and such. So once that was finished in like 2 seconds, I had nothing to do for the rest of the three hours. I literally went through over 45 pages of images on the image site just to make it look like I was doing something, because she didn’t want me doing the car ads for whatever reason. And I thought she was the nice one…

The Opposite of Flutternutted

Day 27 – Make up a new word, and give it a definition.
Flutternutted. The act of being extremely happy (generally because of a boy) so much that you can barely function. Symptoms include: giggling, smiling & blushing.

Generally, the opposite of what I’m feeling right now. My day was meh, and everyone keeps pissing me off. I hate these moods.

Day 03 – Your favorite Taylor Swift song:
Right now, Back to December. Even though it’s not released yet.. does that count? If not, then I’ll go with Tim McGraw (though I only like that on certain days.. don’t ask).

So yeah. This post isn’t going to be that long. I could go on about how co-op was boring because they just had me sort CD’s all day. Or how I was so tired because I stayed up way too late watching The Hills with my sister. Or how EVERYONE was pissing me off, for no reason (well, some for reasons) and I just want the day to be over. It rained ALL day, and maybe that didn’t help. Though I usually love the rain. I hope tomorrow is better, but I’ve been feeling like this for a few days now. I think I know the problem, though I doubt it’ll change. I just wanted to come home and sleep, but I couldn’t because I had to go to work.

I hate my art class. I’m not good at drawing, the class is BORING and I only took it because I needed three credits to be a full time student, and they won’t let you be part time because then they don’t get funding for you. I might talk to my co-op teacher tomorrow to see about switching to a three credit co-op.

I hope you all had a day that was better than mine.

Back To December

I’m in love with a Taylor Swift song. That isn’t released yet. The lyrics are online though.

Day 02 – When you became a Taylor Swift fan:
Right after I first heard Tim McGraw. Though, it was her first single so for awhile there weren’t many songs to listen to. But I now have A LOT. All of them, actually. A bunch of her old demos, and live songs.. she’s just amazing

I’m also supposed to write a letter to my mother. Okay, here goes.

Mom,

I know I usually only say it when I want something, like a sandwich or for you to pick me up late somewhere. But I love you. While you weren’t a single mother, you basically raised us on your own & I will always be grateful of that. You stayed home for us, and worked night shift to still keep money coming in due to Dad drinking it all away, but as much as I may complain about my life.. I’m glad I have you as my mom. My childhood wasn’t terrible, because of you. If something was ever to happen to you, my life wouldn’t be the same. I know that that’s something all people say, but it’s true. If something happened, and I was ever stuck with just Dad for a parent, I could not survive. We all need you in our life to survive. And maybe I don’t put the dishes in the dishwasher, or clean my room when you ask.. but I love you, and I thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me. And just know, that if I ever do leave home, whether it’s unexpected or expected for college or whatever, know that I will always love you & even if I don’t keep in contact as much as I can, you will always be my favourite mommy ever.
